Benevento Family Mantras

Benevento Family Mantra #1
Never Tell a Lie.

We will screw up. We will make mistakes. We all do. The only way to get through the aftermath of the mistake it to tell the truth and own it. It will be scarey. It will be hard. You must trust that the people who really matter in your life will forgive you and move on, no matter what. Benevento’s  love each other, NO MATTER WHAT! That’s what it means to be family. You have a safe circle who loves you unconditionally.

Benevento Family Mantra #2
Be Kind.

It sounds so simple, be kind…. but when you are out in this mean world it may be a lot easier to just go along with the crowd. Or, better yet, it may be easier to let your anger or insecurities get the best of you and cause you to be unkind. It’s never ever worth it. Choose Kind, every day, twice on Sunday.

Benevento Family Mantra #3
Say What You Need to Say

Our relationships mean nothing if we can not be open and honest in them. When you are angry, use your words. When you are hurt, it will be most difficult, but you must use your words. When you love, be sure your love is spoken. A sure way to insure regret is to withhold your true self from your most important relationships.

“Have no fear for giving in, have no fear for giving over, you’d better know that in the end, its better to say too much then never say what you need to say again

Even if your hands are shaking, and your faith is broken, even as the eyes are closing, do it with a heart wide open.”

Benevento Family Mantra #4
When in doubt…dance off pants off, in the kitchen, of course

Look. Its no secret that music is magical. It isn’t a secret that dancing is fun either. SO, whenever you’re stuck or grumpy, or just not sure what to do next……its time for a dance off pants off!

Benevento Family Mantra #5

Life is busy. Life is hectic. Life is stressful. Life is hard. Life is complicated. How many times do we heard these things in a given week? Too many! All of these things may be true but guess what? Life is also magical. Life is also fun. Life is also magnificent. Life is also a gift. Life is also speeding by. So, whenever you can….CELEBRATE! Gather together and celebrate.

Benevento Family Mantra #6
Mind your beeswax!

You never know what another person is carrying with them at any given moment.

Benevento Family Mantra #7
Benevento’s don’t quit!

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will, When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill, When the funds are low and the debts are high, And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit-

Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,

As every one of us sometimes learns,

And many a fellow turns about

When he might have won had he stuck it out.

Don’t give up though the pace seems slow –

You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than It seems to a faint and faltering man;

Often the struggler has given up

Whe he might have captured the victor’s cup; And he learned too late when the night came down, How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out –

The silver tint in the clouds of doubt,

And you never can tell how close you are, It might be near when it seems afar; So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit –

It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Benevento Family Mantra #8
Embrace the silly!

Life has plenty woah and too much serious. It’s up to you to make room for silly in your world.

Benevento Family Mantra #9
No Excuses!

If you want something work your tail off and go get it.

Nothing is more powerful than your will and determination.

What do you want? How are you going to get there? What’s your plan?

Benevento Family Mantra #10
Things don’t matter. People do.

Who matters most to you? When was the last time you told them that in writing?

Make their day. Jot away.
