🌟Go for it!🌟 You are worth it! 🌟You deserve it!!🌟

Sometimes getting what we want is the scariest thing in the world, especially if we still doubt that we are worthy of deserving of it.

After becoming a mother all I could dream of was moving from my home and my life in New York back to my home in Massachusetts with my family, my Mom. But that would require my husband and I to leave our careers and sell our home, in what just so happened to be the most devestating financial crisis of our lifetime. There was No way. BUT!

If You don’t Ask for What You Wantβ€”You’ll Never get It.

Ignore the little voice inside your head that tells you, you don’t deserve it. Ask yourself, what you want. What do you need? What matters? If you really strip it all away and just sit with yourself, what really matters to you?

Most of the things we acquire do not hold true value to our souls. Plenty of our mundane daily activities do not feed our purpose. So, when push comes to shove, what really matters to you?

To me, what really matters is~ Family~Friendship~Teaching and Learning~Sharing love~Spreading joy.

When I became a mom I was working 60-70 hours a week as an assistant principal at an elementary school in Queens, NY. I was doing work that really mattered to me. But it was consuming my entire life. There was no balance.

My wish for everyone I love is to spend more time doing the things that really matter to their souls. It may mean you have less “stuff” and it could mean you do fewer things. But-If you let it, it will lead you to your destiny, to true happiness. Now I spend time every single day doing things that feed my soul. I read. I write. I exercise. I pray. I send little letters and cards to my loved ones. I play with my kids. Like I said it has been a LONG five years. The chaos that was knowingly created by the move often fed that evil notion that I was not worthy of true happiness. At first I could not even identify what made me happy. Then, for awhile after I knew, I still could not seem to make it happen. Thanks to my devoted husband, support from our families, and lots of hutsba, balls, nerve, whatever you want to call it, I refused to give up!
Five years later my family is finally emerging from the dust cloud of chaos that has been our lives as a result of the decision to go for what we wanted. IT HAS NOT BEEN EASY!!! In fact, at times, it was downright, horrible. But I promise you this, IT WAS WORTH IT!
Go for it! You are worth it! You deserve

I am an educator who thrives on helping others. I spent close to 15 years teaching and then as an administrator in the New York City Public School System. During that time I completed my first Masters Degree in Teaching Reading and and additional degree in administration. I currently tutor students in all subjects and grades. In addition, after completing the Parent Advocacy Class with The Federation of Children with Special Needs several years ago, I am a parent advocate. I plan to dedicate my time to helping other families of children with special needs.
